I didn't rattle can it, Ea$y Money, Hudman and I painted it with Zero Rust Primer. Very thick paint, we actually needed to use reducer

I'll have it at the meeting

So is the green the primer? Isn't zero-rust a Home Depot product?

There is an automotive application of Zero Rust
This is the aerosol can, but they also sell it by the quart, gallon and 5 gallon cans

Leave the primer at home and bring the Single Cab to the meeting.

Here's some of the info we got from last Tuesday's meeting:

"Cruise Nights":

In Chula Vista on 3rd Ave between E & G Streets, every Tuesday 5-8pm from May 29 through September 4.

In El Cajon on Main St east of I-8, every Wednesday 5-8pm from April 11 through August 29. Note: This year they will be raffling off a '65 Dodge Dart, if you just show your car and leave a window open just enough, they will drop a raffle ticket in your car! :-o With one free ticket per night, the more you show up the more chances to win! you can also purchase a additional tickets on the last night (Aug 29th) for $25ea or 5 for $100. And, YES, you must be present to win!

Other car shows all over town:

May 11th to 13th
Only info I have is off the flyer :???: and is as follows...
Bonfire on the beach, live music Saturday, over $10,000 in raffle prizes, benefiting wounded warrios in Balboa Hospital and Operation Homefront San Diego...

Looks like some great shows. Well worth the drive down to check them out. We may even make a weekend out of it. :smt039

Tams, just let us know ahead of time which of these you want to attend and we'll make something out of it. Some of us do want to participate in as many "other" shows as possible if nothing else for the exposure to everyone of Strictly Vintage 2s. Not to mention that our participation in their shows may lead to them participating in ours!

In High School there was a guy who had "The Mean Green Machine" in custom paint on both sides of his 1974 Chevy truck. Just an idea David.

The Greatest Show on Turf looks like an event to represent our club. Yeah, we are cheap but at least some of us need to sacrifice $25 on this event. After all it is a fund raising event and helps the CCCoSD which in turn helps our club tremendously as you already know that without them the FamilienFest simply could not happen! :???:

I want to attend this event with my Dormy but the club bus should be a mandatory presence. That said, and also as you all know too, the club covers the costs of the club bus at any event it shows. So, either we get a driver to bring it or I'll drive it myself to the event!

The 8th Annual - Greatest Show on Turf” on Saturday, June 2, 2007. Clubs interested in having your own special class may register 10 cars in a category and provide judges, we will create a special class with 1st and 2nd place trophies.

We must participate in this event!!!! Hopefully we can get a 10 bus count and score on a couple of trophies but we must pre-register by the 15th. Also, the sooner we pre-register the better the spot on the show. Plus we get to park together!!!

Who else is on for this show right on Balboa Park??? :???:

This event wasn't mentioned at the meeting last night was it? How about it, do we still want to go?

MAYOR OVERSIGHT!!!

I know I am going, but we need at least 10 buses in order to get our own section AND 2 trophies for ourselves!!!

The Dormy, the club bus & David's Green Hornet makes 3 already so just 7 more participants and we're in like Flynn!

But this must be assured very soon or we may be out of it!

I'm still all for it. Count me in! Now we just need a deluxe and a DC to have a complete line up. And maybe a few bay windows.

I'm in. This sounds like a fun opportunity to gain club exposure. Now we have at least one Double Cab. Ivan, do want me to send you the $25 or will you collect it on the day of the event. I'll do whatever is best for you.

Dag. I'm out of town next weekend. I'd love to go but my bus isn't very showy.
