Tony,

How many are signed up to go to Busters so far? Gail and I will be there.

Including you and Gail, we have 15, but the day isn't over yet. Hopefully, we'll have more joining us.

We now have 17 people joining us for the Valentines Day event at Buster's.
Let me know if you want to join us, but haven't responded yet. I can adjust our reservation. You'll have a great time.

It turns out the restaurant doesn't have control over the parking lot, so they can't cone off any spots for us to display our buses.

However, HBWesty has some influence and may be able to pull some strings and cone off some parking for us anyway. I'll know more Friday afternoon.

Also, in case you need clarification on the directions, from the intersection of Westminster and PCH, go S on PCH to Studebaker Rd. Go Right, proceed about 200+feet and turn L on Marina Dr. Follow Marina Dr. all the way to the end, as it takes you right into the parking lot. There's a white VW bus parked at the entrance of the restaurant. We're in the Paradise Cove room.
See you Saturday.:smt023
Tony

All attended arrived on time to line up over 1/2 dozen Splitties and one Bay (wonder who that could have been) right in front of Busters. All had a great time. Food was great, service was great, entertainment was great with all SV2 freinds having a great time. Tony has asssured the proof of good times by taking a number of pictures of our happy party goers. Hey Tony, nice speach thanking the wives for putting up with our bus obsession. Nice touch. Gail bought it.

Thanks, Ken, for your kind words about the event. Buster's was a better place because we were there with our buses on display. Everything really did go well and I think all had a good time. I have submitted an article and pictures that I'm sure will eventually find their way into an upcoming newsletter.

Thanks to all who attended. Your being there made it a fun Valentines Day.

John and I are working on other activities for 2009. As they say, "Stay tuned".

You're welcome. I'm glad everyone chose to spend such a special evening with all of us. Birthdays are bittersweet with me, but I like the sweet part.

Hey Tony,

The birthday thing... I feel ya. But think of it this way, anytime you feel old, just take the ol bus out for a ride down PCH and acknowledge all the positive emotions from folks wishing they had a VW Bus like yours...cruising down PCH

Yes, you're right about the bus bringing out the positive reactions from others to all of us VW owners. I can't think of any other car that brings out those same feelings. I'm sure we all experience that rush owning such a unique vehicle.
