i recently have decided to do some big modifications to my car and wanted to know what everyones feedback is on it. 1) i wanted to paint my rims Grabber Green, 2) later down the road put air bags on my bus, 3) cut the frame horn that the steering box is on and raise it and then cut down the steering column. i don't really know if you guys want to keep things looking vintage or if these type of mods were accepted?! let me know. -Evan (white and primer black 65)

It's your bus, do as you like! You want slamma jamma scrape-O-ramma, knock yourself right out! :P

Some people like 'em totally stock down to the wimpy 36hp little engine that couldn't and skinny tires. I prefer the "look" but need the power and comfort so I like a "decent" stance but ain't lowriding it and like the phat tires to grab the road. :D

We are more about the people than about the buses. 8)

Make sure you get a CB for the trip, it makes the DRIVE much more tolerable, and fun.

  Hey anyone know if NANCY is coming?

Yeah, what ^he^ said! Not only is it fun to stay on top of what everyone is talking about on the CB but it is also vital to inform others of road hazards and/or if there is some trouble and we have to stop! 8)

Go to Caravanning etiquette and read up on it. Good stuff, fun and very helpful!!!

Oh, and Nancy isn't going to make it, out of town or something. 8)

There's no way to get that dent pulled and smoothed? Nothing fits as good as the originally installed pieces. Of course, that might already be a replaced door. Best of hunting, evan65.

well.... the problem is everyone is asking for $600 to pull that (without bondo). but at the meeting last night i was talking to Eddie who owns a shop on Batavia in orange...and he told me that he had a dry, dry, dry door for $100... but he told me before i bought it to have the bodywork guys next to his shop to take a look at it!! so i'm getting pretty excited about resolving this problem that i have had for 4 months!!!

Usually, we have an extra one with us, but you need a cig. lighter to connect it to.
or your neighborhood Fry's has refurbished ones for $20 plus the mic. That's what I have in my SC
