Posted in a thread on thedrambadotcom's forums, a link to a FREE service that checks VIN for possible theft/recovery and/or total loss reported on a particular vehicle. It isn't really a "technical" issue and since you'd probably want to know if a vehicle you're looking to buy has been stolen or not, figured I post it here in the classy ads. Though it would mostly apply to vehicles for sale with NO TITLE, it doesn't hurt to check one even with a title. Some vehicles have been found which where stolen ages ago even after numerous "owners" registered to them throughout the years!
