Well, the good news is I lived; the bad news is the rented Toyota Yaris I was driving didn't do so well. I believe it has gone on to Yaris heaven. Some person while on his cell phone was so intent on his conversation that he didn't notice I was stopped waiting at a red light. His huge GMC Yukon hit the Yaris full force (no skid marks) and knocked me into another car that was crossing in front of me. The Yukon driver decided he didn't want to stick around and took off onto the freeway leaving the scene of the accident. A Good Samaritan followed him onto the freeway and got his license number. I hope they catch that jerk coward. At least I wasn't driving my Volkswagen...whew! It's 4:00 am and I'm sore, pissed off, but okay.

Preliminary check of the Xrays didn't show any cervical fractures. So I guess I'm okay, but I have a very sore neck area. I just picked up the DC from the glass shop a little earlier in the day, but decided not to drive it to the event I was headed for. Wow!
William, I'll get those tires out of the wreckage today and return them as soon as I can. I'm hoping they're still returnable, as I haven't seen the wreckage yet. They were too busy putting me into the ambulance.

Keep watchin' out for the other guy!

Thanks to all of you. I'm not as sore today as I thought I might be, so that's a good thing. Now I have to deal with Enterprise on their loss of a vehicle. It should be an interesting day.

Wow another SV2s member rear ended. I was hit by an F-250 while driving the Prius, which just like your Yaris was totaled.
My neck has been sore since February. Hope your neck heals much quicker.

And I do hope they track down that SOB that blasted you.

Thanks to all of you for your kind words. Today wasn't quite so bad, but the neck still hurts as does my back, but I've got DRUGS to soothe me. Larry, hurry up and heal..............don't you wish it was that easy?...lol.

Wow Tony, sooooooooooo glad you are okay! Go for some acupuncture and massage therapy for that cervical spine injury! Don't let those muscles that tried to protect you stay in that spasm they've locked you in to! That is where the pain is coming from! Don't rely on drugs! Those are just fooling your brain into thinking you are okay!
Did the license plate report come back with an arrest?

I haven't heard anymore from the Sheriffs Department other than they know who and where the registered owner lives (Whittier), but as for whether it was a stolen car or (?), I haven't heard if that has been determined. I sure hope they catch that coward...(obviously).

As for my neck and mild back pain, I'm not loading up on Percocet, only using it at night. The pain has diminished and not excruciating. Acupuncture has entered my mind, but I'm not sure about the massage therapy due to my low back fusions (except if it's one of those pretty Asian girls but that might be a different type of massage......nah!). I think the Percocet is allowing my body to relax and, therefore, reduce the spasms. So far, so good. If it persists more than a couple of days, I'll go see my primary doctor for further "doctoring".

Thanks to everyone for your kind thoughts and support.
