Looked all over and I didn't find a thread on my SC. This is mainly for me to keep track and condense all the posts regarding my SC and also I hope to put something together for the newsletter to inspire other to take us on the journey of our buses from when we got them to their current state.

According to thesamba.com(and my vin #), my SC was built in November 1956.

Need to find some pics of the SC when I got it in 1999, and I'll post a pic of the SC as it currently sits(It's a sad, sad sight).

Dave - How'd you run the roof rack and the hoops?

I thought you had to remove the rack, or did you just slide it forward?

Love that pic too!

IT'S ALIVE

Bad starter, we(Bill and I) replaced it with a rebuilt Self-Supporting starter(Autostik), rewired the cold start relay and Vrooooooom. The SC had it first breath of life again after 2 years. The engine sounds strong.

Still need to bleed the brakes, adjust clutch and take it for a spin.

I will also be installing the 205/75/15 I got from JL. I'm all over the SHN status on this one.

Hope to make it to the SV2s meeting this coming Friday.
