Some of us have been discussing this for years now, so trying to gauge interest. It's not for the faint of heart or useless lowered buses and carries some risks. I imagine if we do it we could meet up at one of the campgrounds listed in the article below overnight then do the trail in one day and head back after making it a one night and a day deal. Could meet on a Friday, take the trail Saturday and head back Saturday with LA people like Craig and Beto taking the 10 and SD people up Banner Grade.
I imagine November or early December would be the best time. Veterans Day is coming up Nov 11 and some people get that off, so they might be a good time to do it.
Now discuss amongst yourselves.
Here is a brief intro to the trail, more can be found on line.

Lastly...sounds like the biggest issue is soft sand. Don't we drive through that when we went out to the mud caves???

looks like a lot of fun. I would even try it if I could make it. Assuming the camper makes it out there.

Ok !! this sounds like quite the adventure, and I am definitely in!!

Set the date soon so we can be prepared.
Soft sand means air down, I have a compressor to air back up!
Let's do it!
