We're beginning to entertain thoughts of moving our meeting location. We'd be interested in getting your thoughts on how much location determines whether or not you'll attend a chapter meeting. In fact, we'd be interested in getting your thoughts on any factors that determine whether or not you'll attend a chapter meeting. Obviously, we're trying to attract more chapter participation. Please share your thoughts. :-k

We're considering other options as we really want to make it convenient for more of the OC members to attend our monthly meetings. If location is one of the sore spots, then we want to correct that. Also, we've had some issues with management that need to be resolved. We want to handle it in a way that doesn't have any negative repercussions, as we'd like to still be a part of the Phoenix Club's activities: Oktoberfest, etc.

A couple of years ago we almost got "bumped" off our meeting place by new management. We are lucky to have a good waitress who talked the management into "keeping" us since our group brings in good $$$ every month.

Some people don't like to spend if they don't have to and are content with just meeting in a park or some such. However, there are others that like to meet indoors, have more control over their kids specially at night, and like to have someone else serve dinner and clean up while meeting.

We used to also meet at the beach during the summer months but this created some logistics issues on "transition". Someone had to stay behind to let those who "didn't get the message" know where to go. :???:

Tony,

Sorry to miss the last meeting, but I was working on my bus. Any thoughts about Old World if looking for the German theme? Or does that not matter? Any general location?

I seem to remember "back in the day" we used to meet there. The service was horrendous and we really didn't feel appreciated. That's when we started looking for another location with a German flavor.

One suggestion was to meet at a "non-German" place for our meetings, but have a "guys' night out" and go over to the Phoenix Club occasionally.

We're still in the brainstorming stage right now. We'll still be meeting at the Phoenix Club next month and continue to get feedback from as many as we can.
