Interesting! I'm guessing that it's one of those oil-impregnated bronze bushings. I've seen the ad but this is the first clear pic of it installed that I've seen.

From the "I'm getting too old for this sh!t" department...

Though the rear bumper on the Dormy is an after market much lighter piece, it is grafted into the hitch so it is a bit heavier than an old school original one. As often as I have to drop the motor for so many reasons, I can handle it better than removing the damn bumper/hitch combo! :-s

So this past weekend I figured "there has to be a better way!" :roll:

Got this receiver from VW Howard a while back for just $5 so decided to use it as an "aid" to help install/remove the bumper without breaking my back or busting a toe. :cool:

nice trick! I usually leave the brackets on and unbolt the bumper from the brackets. Then I have can just hang the bumper on the brackets when installing it.

Well, that is an option but ONLY if you don't have a welded hitch/bumper combo like mine! :roll:
